In order to train its members to develop the culture of saving for the future, AJEMAC has taught to its members to save and exchange money among themselves in the cooperatives and organizations they belong to, so that they can solve some of the problems they were facing in their daily lives that they did not have the immediate ability for.
After realizing its success and that members already got used to that culture of savings, AJEMAC went on and on October 28, 1993 launched a Savings and Credit Cooperative named COOPEC IMBONEZABUKUNGU which operated in Mushubati, Gihango and Musasa sectors of Rutsiro district.

Again, after realizing that the institution played an important role in the development of its members and other people living nearby in the District of Rutsiro, on 15 September 1995 AJEMAC launched another Savings and Credit Cooperative named COOPEC INKUNGA which was operating in Rubengera Sector of Karongi District, but had members in other cross-border sectors.
This was achieved by AJEMAC in order to accomplish one of its objectives, namely, the promotion of financial services in rural areas and the strengthening of socio-economic capacities for the well-being of the Rwandan family/Society.

After these two joint ventures merged with the name COOPEC INKUNGA, it continued to have its headquarters in Rubengera sector, in Karongi District, but continued to have its branch that continued to operate in Mushubati sector in Rutsiro District.
COOPEC INKUNGA continued to expand its operations, until it became a commercial microfinance company approved by the Central Bank of Rwanda BNR called INKUNGA FINANCE Plc. This company has been developing to the point where it now operates in 5 Districts of the western province, and it already has 1 branch operating in the city of Kigali in Nyarugenge District.
