AJEMAC has been cooperating with the members of its member associations and cooperatives, in the irrigation of their farms.
It is in this context that the Nyarugenge-Kagusa-Kabuga 21 Km water pipeline was created to help those farmers in their work to increase agricultural production.
Also, the Nyarugenge-Gacaca-Kibirizi 54 Km water pipeline was built as part of supporting the activities of the KOPAARU Cooperative that does fish farming in the ponds, but AJEMAC also specifically encouraged vegetable farming for those who have farms near the river.

AJEMAC has also been involved in helping its members to add value to agricultural and livestock products, where banana production were processed into alcohol under the name of HIMBARWA and juice under the name JUBANA that could be stored for a long time, potatoes yield were used to process biscuits and the products from beekeeping were well processed so that the honey that comes from it is also in good condition and can be stored for a long time.

After the outbreak of the Kirabiranya disease in the country that affected banana crop, AJEMAC played an important role in combating the disease, helping banana farmers in training and finding other crops to replace banana to maintain their self-sufficiency.

After that, AJEMAC cooperated with banana farmers to provide them with other seeds that produce good yields and are resistant to the disease, the seeds are planted again and banana crops were once again available in abundance.
In addition to fish farming, AJEMAC has been participating in animal breeding programs in the community, where it has been providing animals including cows, goats, chickens,… in different sectors of the Karongi District in order to help the people overcome poverty and malnutrition.
