Under the financing of the ICCO project (Interchurch Development Cooperation Organization) under Dutch law, AJEMAC implemented various operational plans: Support for the organization and management of cooperatives; AJEMAC facilitates the supervision of cooperatives in terms of cooperative management; Support for the establishment and organization of the rotating livestock credit system for vulnerable people; Promotion of banana value chain; Promotion of the spirit of savings and credit among cooperative members by making them aware of working closely with Inkunga Finance Plc; Avail the Health Center to the population: The Health Center located in the Gihango Sector of the Rutsiro District was initiated by the Inkwakuzi cooperative with the partnership of AJEMAC. Currently this Health Center operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Health' Gender promotion throughout the development process' Development of sporting and cultural activities.

Current Projects

Current Projects

In collaboration with its partners,AJEMAC is putting efforts to continue building the capacity of the cooperatives it works with, focusing especially on training its management bodies in terms of their responsibilities and good management aimed at the development of their members in general. The training focuses on good management related to general management, resource management and finance. The image above is about a project initiated by AJEMAC,and it's a 2 Greenhouses construction for KOPAARU cooperative, funded by SAIP/RAB to promote Horticulture agriculture in Rubengera Sector. Another project that is being run by AJEMAC in partnership with UMUGANDA Driving School is a Driving School where the Youth in particular and other people from Rubengera Sector and its surroundings can come and be trained on the driving code.Since 2020 the results from the test given by the Rwanda National Police have shown that at least 1,116 trainees have won their Provisional Driving Licences from Bwishyura and Rubengera Centers.

AJEMAC, like all other non-governmental organizations, needs partners in order to be able to implement the program it has given, so that it can fulfill its responsibilities in the development of the residents of the area in which it works. In this regard,AJEMAC is a member of the CCOAIB “Conseil de Concertation des Organizations d'Appui aux Initiatives de Base”. CCOAIB is a Rwandan organization holding a legal personality published under the ministerial order n°103/11 of 07/09/2004, created in 1987 by 12 organizations to the grassroots initiatives. The group CCOAIB kept on growing, actually, it now counts 40 effective members. Its mission is to enhance the capacity of CCOAIB member organizations to deliver quality services through evidence-based advocacy, networking and empowerment of citizens to participate in their own development. AJEMAC is also a members of JADF (The Joint Action Development Forum) of Rutsiro and Karongi Districts because it has activities there. In constant collaboration, AJEMAC works closely with the JADFs of those Districts in programs aimed at community development. AJEMAC as an organization playing its role in climate related issues,is also a member of RCCDN,which is a national member-driven civil society network working on climate change and other development challenges. It is a network composed of 66-member organisation working throughout the entire Rwandan territory. The objectives of RCCDN were designed to ensure effective networking and communication among members in the country to collectively identify their priority needs and be empowered to take a stand positioning for sustainable development amidst climate change challenges.
